Being responsible for the child(rens) safety of course. Also making sure they're happy and comfortable. Also creating fun and memorable activities that cater to each child's likes and dislikes. I love to do fun arts and crafts that kids like so working within their age to create a time for them to be creative.
My experience with special needs children...
I've nannied for a family over 4 months that had a special needs child that couldn't care for himself that I provided care for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Too many to count, but the first that just came up in my head was when I was babysitting the sweetest little girl and we dressed up and sang karaoke all afternoon and we sang all the old doo wop songs which she had never heard.
