I began working in childcare at 14 at a Montessori Preschool with children ages 0 to 6 as a teachers' assistant, where I discovered my passion for child care. From ages 17 to 19, I nannied for a family with twins and a 5-year-old, starting when the twins were 3 months old until they began school. Most recently, I cared for boys aged 5 and 11 for over a year. Other than the boys, my responsibilities included cleaning, activity planning, schedule management, laundry, errands, driving to activities, and advanced meal prepping.
I am a KC Scholars recipient at the University of Missouri and will return to Columbia in August.
