Hello, I am Aundrea, the second child out of four in total. My youngest sibling has Down Syndrome so he inspired me to study Psychology at Cal State Fullerton. I hope in using my degree to become an ABA for children with special needs. Beyond caring for family and friends, at just 12 years old I started volunteering in the children’s ministry at church. I also have childcare experience through caring for friends, extended family, siblings, and I have worked with three families through care.com. I always get told that I am a natural and that all children love me :) As you can tell caring for children is something that I have always enjoyed.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children who have Down Syndrome and some experience with those with autism. My. younger brother has Down Syndrome so I was very hands on and involved. I accompanied him in all his therapies (physical, occupational, behavioral etc.). I also took part in support groups for families who have someone with any sort of special needs.
