A little bit about me

Hi my name is Autumn, I am 19 years old and I have been watching kids ages 6 weeks- 14 years old. I love to watch kids and bond with them to get to know them. My favorite thing to do with kids is play games or go outside and play! I love being like an older sibling to them! I have a one year old border collie pup I take care of, about to be living on my own and will be starting cosmetology schooling in the summer. I've worked in several daycares/preschools, and I've also worked within my church in the nurseries and the children's clubs and after school programs.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I help out in the church nursery, and I have for about 7 years now. I also helped nanny for my close church friend when she broke her hand and couldn’t hold or feed her 4 month old baby properly. I watched them for years and now I'm very good family friends to them, as they've moved to another part of Florida! I do have references from this specific position if you request that, I am happy to have her and her husband speak to you. I’ve worked in two daycares, I’ve been in all the classrooms from the infants to the VPK aged children. I've worked in many different scenarios with young and older children, and I feel like I am able to bond with them and guide them very well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going outside with them and playing at parks or just in the backyard, I love to help little kids learn how to color and build things. There's many activities I love doing with kids, from playing with animals, going to parks and other fun trips like the movies, and escape rooms, to challenge them. I love watching kids learn and grow into mature citizens in society. I'm still very close to many of the families I've baby sat for in the past because I really do cherish the relationships I make with you and your children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is to build that bond/relationship with the children so they know you’re someone they can come to even as the get older. It’s important to keep an eye on the kids as well just in case of any potential dangers.

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have personal experience with special needs children other than working with a few during church before. Mostly autistic children, or children with bipolar disorders. I've also worked with a few kids with anxiety disorders, but not enough to say I'm confident in my abilities. However I am willing to take classes and learn, if the rest of my profile looks like a good fit!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when the little boy, he was 2 years old, grabbed my hand as we walked down the street as he said “I’m holding your hand so you don’t get scared”. It made my whole entire year.
