I am very involved in volunteering around the metro. I have experience helping children with after-school activities and volunteering at my old elementary school. I am always willing to help when it comes to caring for my cousins and neighbors over the weekends when needed.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Growing up, I spent, if not every day outside running around with the neighborhood kids until the street lights came on. We loved to build forts or play week-long games of tag, you name it. I love to get creative with activities such as making new games or simply pulling out the craft supplies and making whatever comes to mind. I love to see the things kids will come up with. In the summer I love to swim or spend time at the splash pad with my baby cousin or pack up a picnic and play at the park for a few hours.

On top of making sure the kids are safe, I think the most important thing as a nanny is to be a person in their lives who they can look up to and find safety in because I can still remember bits and pieces of my nanny that I had growing up and she still has a special place in my heart that I wouldn't have had without her.

My favorite Nanny moment was one of the first few times I babysat for a new family the youngest had his head poking through the curtains in the window watching me walk up to the house and started jumping up and down so excited and met me at the door. It was really a simple thing but it made me feel so happy to know that I am someone who they look forward to seeing ever so often.
