Hi! My name is Ava, I'm 21 years old, and I've been babysitting for 10 years, and nannying for 4 of those years. I'm a student at Michigan State studying psychology, however, I'm currently taking the semester off so I have more availability from now until December. I was a water sports instructor for 3 years at Pine Lake Marina, therefore, I'm trained in both CPR and First Aid. I also volunteered at Eastminster Child Development Center last year, with that being said, I have experience with all different types of kids. I'm really interested in finding a part-time nannying job in this area. I'm very flexible with dates and times.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going for walks, going to the park, playing in nature and discovering the outside world, playing board games, etc. I'm very flexible and I'm always willing to do whatever the kids want to do, as long as it's safe of course.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring that the child is safe at all times, but also having fun and teaching valuable life lesson for the appropriate age. I always strive to be a safe person for everyone to come and talk to, as well as creating a nurturing and loving environment for everyone.

My experience with special needs children...

I was in "linked", a peer program at Bloomfield Hills High School. I was paired with a student who has autism, and I would go with her to choir class and be there for support or gentle reminders about behavior.
