Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Along with babysitting for the last 5 years, I spent a summer working at a daycare as a teacher’s assistant mostly with with children ages 18 months to 2 years old. There were even days where it was just me with the kids, which gave me a lot of hands on experience and confidence. I helped with diaper changes, meal times, naps, playtime, cleaning up, and keeping them on their daily routine. It was such a fun experience and really grew my love for working with kids!

I love doing fun things like going to the park, playing outside, doing crafts, baking, movie nights, or getting ice cream. I think the little things are what kids remember most, and those are the kinds of memories I always want to create with them!

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is being someone kids feel safe with and genuinely look forward to being around. I think childhood should feel fun, exciting, and full of good memories, and I love getting to be a small part of that! It’s also really important to me that parents feel comfortable and trust that their kids are in good hands.

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I was working at daycare and one of the little boys really wanted to play soccer during recess, so we spent the whole time playing together. The next day, his mom told me he went home talking all about me and how much fun he had, and honestly that meant so much to me. It was such a simple moment, but it made me feel so fulfilled knowing I made that kind of impact on his day.
