The most important part about being a nanny...
I think one of the most important parts of being a nanny is understanding that kids are always watching, listening, and learning from you. Being someone they can relate to has been such a gift in my nannying experience. I love building trust with the kids I care for and creating a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood. Being a positive role model is something I care deeply about. Knowing they look up to me is such a special responsibility, and something I never take lightly
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments has been watching one little boy I care for grow up over the past year. I started with him when he was just about one, and at first being away from his mom was really hard for him (and definitely a learning curve for me too!). There were lots of tears, big feelings, and patience on both sides. Fast forward a year, and now we’re best buddies. He calls me ‘Weewee’ (his version of Avery), chats with me nonstop, and his mom says he's added my name to his family song. Seeing that bond grow from those tough first days into something so special has been the most rewarding part of nannying.
