More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experiences where I’ve cared for children include my time as a peer tutor in high school, where I supported children with special needs, as well as babysitting and working as both a summer day camp counselor and a summer sleepaway camp counselor. These roles gave me the opportunity to connect with children in different settings, offering guidance and creating fun, enriching experiences. Additionally, tutoring allowed me to provide academic support and encouragement to help children reach their potential.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time with children through a variety of activities, whether it's reading, playing board games, or enjoying the outdoors with walks and trips to the park. Baking together, having spontaneous dance parties, and helping them with homework are also some of my favorite ways to connect and have fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and the parents. It's about being a positive role model, creating a safe and supportive environment, and understanding the child's needs, whether emotional, physical, or developmental. Being flexible, patient, and reliable are also crucial traits, as is being able to communicate effectively with parents to ensure everyone is on the same page about routines and expectations.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children comes from my time as a peer tutor in high school and working closely with my high school’s special needs program through my varsity basketball team. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and creating inclusive environments where everyone feels supported and valued.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is attending kids' sporting events and seeing their faces light up when they spot me in the crowd. It's such a fulfilling feeling to be a familiar and supportive presence during those exciting, high-energy moments. As a huge sports fan myself, I understand how important it is to have someone in the crowd cheering you on.

I am a transplant to Austin (from a Chicago suburb) and and just completed my time with my nanny family (July 2025) as the girls have started school. I had been their nanny for the past 4+ years. I also nannied a teenage Autistic boy for four years.
I'm looking for my next family to join. I'm available immediately. I'm also available for babysitting or last minute care outside of my nanny hours. If you have a school age child, I'm available for tutoring as well.
As for me, I was an Elementary school teacher (18 years). I have an 8 year old granddaughter and an almost 2 year old grandson..
I've been taking care of kids, since I was 12 years old. I'm pet friendly, as I own two small dogs and one cat.
To say the least, I'm fun, loving, caring, responsible, reliable, trustworthy, honest, clean, and punctual.
Feel free to contact me if you are interested or have any questions.
