I love keeping kids engaged with fun, creative, and educational activities both indoors and outdoors. Some of my favorite indoor activities include arts and crafts, coloring, painting, reading, and learning through age-appropriate activities. I also enjoy incorporating music and dancing into our day because it’s a fun way for kids to express themselves and stay active. Outdoors, I love going on nature walks, exploring our surroundings, and doing outdoor scavenger hunts where kids can discover and learn about the world around them. I enjoy making activities fun while also creating opportunities for children to learn, explore, and use their imagination.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. It’s important to be dependable and attentive while also understanding that every child is different and has their own personality, needs, and way of learning. I want the children I care for to feel heard, supported, and encouraged while having fun, exploring, and learning along the way. Building a strong relationship with both the children and their parents is also very important to me, because trust and communication are the foundation of great childcare.

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not worked extensively in a professional special-needs childcare setting, I understand the importance of patience, flexibility, and individualized care. I’m comfortable adapting activities and routines to meet a child’s specific needs and making sure they feel safe, included, and supported. I’m also eager to learn from parents and caregivers about what works best for each child and to provide consistent, compassionate care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments while caring for children is seeing their excitement when they accomplish something new or discover something for the first time. I especially love the little everyday moments, like doing a craft together, dancing to their favorite song, going on a nature walk, or hearing them tell me an imaginative story they created. Watching a child’s personality come out as they become comfortable with you is so rewarding, and those moments are what make nannying so special to me.
