More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Aside from being a professional nanny, I have worked in a charter school with 5th-8th graders as a dance teacher and have been a teacher in the Early Childhood Division at a private school in New Orleans, LA for the last two years before moving to LA!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of the activities I enjoy doing with children include spending time outdoors going for walks, riding scooters and bikes, playing at the playground and going on small hikes to have picnics. When a quieter day is needed or the weather makes it too challenging to go outdoors, I enjoy reading, playing board games, building forts and doing arts and crafts (I once made a large cardboard puppet theatre and the kids and I put on puppet plays for a month!). With younger toddlers and infants, the days may look like lots of play with blocks, loose parts, outdoor exploration, playdates with peers, and a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is being able to become another person in a child's life that they can turn to, feel safe with, and rely on. Having a strong and caring relationship with a child and family is one of the most wonderful things about nannying as well.

My experience with special needs children...

In my years as a nanny, I have cared for a child with hearing loss who uses hearing aids and a child with specific emotional and behavioral needs that required trips to OT, play therapy, and certain at-home guidelines.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments during my time as a nanny was watching a child I watched go from being anxious around other children to curious to eventually excited and willing to run off and play with other kids. It was such a joy to witness his growth and all of this child's hard work to get to a place where he became confident around his peers.

Adrian L. - Seeking Work in Los Angeles

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Los Angeles, CA: Adrian L.

Hi! I’m Adrian. I’m a caring, patient, and dependable person who genuinely enjoys being around kids. I have experience working with children in a school setting, and I love keeping kids engaged, having fun, and making sure they feel comfortable and supported.

I’m also naturally pretty organized and don’t mind helping out around the house with things like laundry, tidying up, meal prep, and keeping things running smoothly. I’m creative, active, and always happy to come up with something fun to do rather than just putting a kid in front of a screen.

I’m looking for a family where I can be someone they trust and rely on, and hopefully become a positive part of their routine.

I’m comfortable helping with things like meals, homework, playtime, keeping things tidy, and following the child’s normal routine. I’m also someone who listens and stays calm when situations get difficult.
I would love the opportunity to help your family and make sure your child feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll always respect your rules and keep you updated so you know how everything is going.

Katherine M. - Seeking Work in Los Angeles

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Los Angeles, CA: Katherine M.

My name is Katherine but I like to go by Kat :) I’m well organized, professional but I sure do know how to have fun. I used to work for a children’s dentistry for 6+ years. In total, I was in the field for a little over 12 years. While I was working full time as a surgical assistant, I would part time nanny. But, working at the children’s dentist, is where I found my passion to work with kids. On The Weeknd’s I enjoy volunteering and coaching kids with all sorts of sports! I don’t have children but someday plan on it. I sure know how to do some light cooking/meal prepping. On my down time, I enjoy working out. In fact, that’s another hobby of mine. I also enjoy playing instruments such as guitar, drums & singing. I definitely would love to share my experiences/knowledge with kids! :)

Diamond J. - Seeking Work in Los Angeles

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Los Angeles, CA: Diamond J.

I'm a Creative Social Coordinator for a creative agency, where I manage social platforms and creative directing concepts/map out the marketing plans for TV series and films across streaming networks. This position allows me to continuously grow my attention to detail, organization, and creative intellect - qualities I feel are beneficial to making sure a child enjoys a fun and comfortable space. I've been a group leader for Jumpstart, a national early education organization where I had the opportunity to work with Pre-K children to improve communication building and learning exercises that would prepare them for the next step. I also babysat the infant child of a good neighbor of mine in my younger years, which prompted my love for childcare. From a more personal standpoint, I have two nephews and a niece that I pretty much call my own kids haha, and have looked after them and been a reliable figure to lean on and confide in as they continue to grow.
