I had a non verbal beauty that I’d been working with and she hardly showed much expression besides letting you know she didn’t want something. I’d tried so many things with her and would just talk to her, be silly, watch shows, read books, and one day I finally got her to LAUGH! Full blown laughing! I had to record the moment to show her parents because I was stunned. Felt like I unlocked special privileges with her! So I would constantly search for what would bring her laughs and giggles; and after much consistency and trust built it became silly time all the time. I loved that I could get her to express joy and silliness. She was the first person I told when I found out I was having a baby. I always think of princess Nova.
