More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience in every role within a daycare setting, including serving as a lead teacher in a 12–18-month-old toddler classroom. I also have extensive hands-on experience in infant care, which is where I feel most at home, though I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with every age group. In addition to daycare, I have worked in a respite care facility supporting children and teens with diverse needs, and I have some training and experience in ABA therapy as well. I’m also a proud mom to a wonderful and brilliant 11-year-old, which gives me a deep appreciation for how much trust it takes to find the right caregiver.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in activities that blend learning and fun. Whether it’s through crafts, sensory play, story time, or singing and dancing to silly songs. I believe in the power of play-based learning and use everyday moments as opportunities to build skills and reach milestones. I especially enjoy creating routines that encourage development through curiosity, creativity, and joy– like blowing bubbles, exploring nature, or getting messy with art. My goal is always to make each day feel magical while supporting growth in a nurturing and playful way. I especially love creating cute holiday crafts (like footprint and handprint art) that families can treasure as keepsakes and look back on as their child grows.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a safe, nurturing, and trusting relationship with both the child and the family. It’s about showing up with consistency, love, and patience every day, and helping children feel truly seen and supported as they grow. I believe in creating a space where learning happens naturally through play, routines, and connection, and where the child’s emotional and developmental needs are honored. Whether it’s soothing an infant, guiding a toddler through milestones, or helping a child navigate big emotions, I see my role as not just a caregiver but a steady, positive presence in a child’s life. And as a mother who believes in the saying "it takes a village", I believe in working closely with parents and caregivers as a team.
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience supporting children with a variety of special needs, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and emotional/behavioral disorders. I’ve worked in both daycare and respite facility settings, where I provided individualized care, supported emotional regulation, and helped children meet developmental goals. I also have some ABA training and am trauma-informed, which helps me approach each child with patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of their unique needs.
