Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to work at a daycare in Lexington, KY called All About Kids for about a year. But growing up, I babysat family friends‘ kids, neighbors kids, and random babysitting gigs every once in a while.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything I can do with children, I will do it. Specifically drawing, puzzles, watching movies and shows, teaching them to read, and honestly anything the parents want done with their children I can and will do. I also encourage communication to the highest extent because I grew up with it and thank my mom everyday because of it. I also found that it helped me listen rather than hear.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This includes many things but I’d have to say being patient. Patience with kids is paramount in their growth and mental/emotional state. They need to know they’re safe and that they won’t be judged for anything. It’s also important to let them be themselves without the fear of being told to change who they are.
