Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I wonder if there is enough space here for all the things I enjoy doing with children. Of course the activities have to be age appropriate and fun. Arts and crafts. Finger painting, sensory activities like colored ice cubes in a bowl of water, things that float vs things that sink. Color blending. Reading. Musical instruments with household items. Sometimes softly sometimes LOUD! Singing sometimes softly, sometimes loud.
Outdoor exploring. Nature is full of fun things to learn about. Stomping in puddles! Thats my granddaughter's favorite thing to play in the rain. Creating designs on windows with contact paper and things that stick to it.
I love when a curious child discovers something new within their world and becomes amazed by it.
Sometimes playing can be messy fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To be able to meet a child on their level. Showing them that what they have to say is important and for me to do my best to find out what that is and how to nourish and let that grow. Simple sign language works great here.
To create an environment that allows a child to feel comfortable and free to explore their world with safe curiosity.

My experience with special needs children...
Premature babies. Teaching babies simple sign language so they can communicate with you before they have ability of speech.
It's amazing that children actually have this capability.

The most important part about being a nanny...
We were playing with ice and water, seeing how it floats and melts then when I added a blue piece of colored ice and a red piece piece of ice. When she saw both melting together and turning purple. It was as if she created a magic color! Awesome to watch.
Same with playing with whip cream and mixing colors together.
