More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked every summer for the past 3–4 years with the city I live in, mainly in the recreation department which would consist of I working with kids & toddlers of all ages, leading crafts, activities, and different programs, & I also had experience working with children with special needs. I’ve also worked in a city run toddler program, which really helped me gain hands on experience & to help better understand the different personalities, behaviors, & needs kids can have. I’ve also cared for new born babies which I absolutely love!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities I enjoy doing with kids are lots of arts & crafts (I’m personally a hugeee craft person & diy so I push myself to learn to do anything) also playing outside, sports, reading stories, obviously helping with homework, & coming up with our own fun games that also help keep them engaged & active. I also crochet (of course I can make your kids things)!!! :))

The most important part about being a nanny...

I genuinely think the most important part of being a nanny is being able to create a safe, trusting, & loving environment where kids feel comfortable in being themselves. I’ve had so many moments growing up taking care of my siblings, family members kids, & my mom’s friends kids, & being around children has always been a big part of my life. It’s something I’ve grown up with & genuinely grown to love as a person. It brings me so much warmth to be able to bring joy into someone’s day & be a part of their happiness. I think that a connection amongst myself/nanny and family is what helps & strengthens trust is what truly makes everything in this job work out.

My experience with special needs children...

Ever since I was in elementary school i always found a way to connect with everyone & anyone. My elementary school had a special needs program & in 4-5th grade I always felt myself gravitating towards some of the kids from that program. I felt like they were always excluded from us other kids & I just wanted them to feel welcome & also to have more friends so I proceeded to talk to some of them although some were quiet or just not interested. Ever since then I’ve always had a special place in my heart for kids in need, not to mention I have family & friends who do have special needs as special needs children & I love them so much & would do everything in my power to make them feel seen & heard. Not only with friends & family but any special needs person. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorites is a common one I’m sure for everyone but making kids laugh. From babies to teens, it heals something in me when I’m able to be apart of someone happiness. And maybe also when the kids try to prank me.😆
