is Connecting with the child. If my kid doesn't feel excited to see me show up, then what's the point?
My experience with special needs children...
During camp counseling and swim instructing, a few kids I worked with had things such as autism, ADHD, etc. I usually worked with these kids 5 days a week, and during camp, I worked with them as well as with other kids. Swim instructing was private sessions with just them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I remember working with a kid, and we saw a wild cat in the woods. He told me to stay away from that cat, or else I'd get "gravy". He meant rabies...!
