A little bit about me

I grew up in a large household of over 10 people and was the second-eldest child. From a young age, I was responsible for taking care of those younger than me, which eventually became my career. Up until COVID, I regularly babysat children between the ages of 6 and 13. Once COVID hit, I switched to tutoring elementary and high-school students.
Now, I’m a college student at Pensacola State College. I’ll be transferring soon and intend to get my bachelor's degree. While I’m in school, I hope to help more families through babysitting.
To me, trust is the most essential part of childcare. It’s my goal to create a nurturing and positive environment that a child will feel safe and comfortable in. It’s also my priority to ensure that parents feel relieved leaving their children in my care. I enjoy working to build positive and trusting relationships with the families I work with. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Before COVID, I worked as a babysitter for children aged 6-13. I frequently watched children overnight and over the weekends. I did paid babysitting work for 4 years total.
I've also worked as a tutor for elementary and high-school aged students. My main focus was English subjects, such as, literature, writing, language arts, and reading.
Recently, I've started volunteering at Pensacola's local wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary. I've assisted with fundraising markets and educational outreach geared towards young children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm an artistic person at heart and love doing arts and crafts with children! I enjoy coming up with new crafts for children to do and believe that it's a great way to both destress and help them learn something new.

I believe that building trust with the families I work with is the most essential part of being a nanny. I work towards creating a safe and uplifting environment for children, that caters to their parents expectations and goals.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This isn't necessarily a nanny moment, but I thought it was sweet to include. While working a recent fundraising event at the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida, I was helping to operate an educational booth that used stuffed animals to teach young children how to rehabilitate animals. There was a little boy at the booth who had chosen a bluejay for his stuffed animal. He was incredibly shy at first, but slowly began to open up throughout the activity. At the end, he asked to give me a hug and I definitely thought of that as a huge achievement.
