Activities I enjoy doing with children...
With infants I enjoy doing developmental activities whether that be reaching, sign language, or exercises in short burst to help them learn to roll and or crawl.
Children who are a little older I tend to let them guide me in independent play. Choose one activity or multiple. I can join them in coloring, playing with dolls, cars and or board games. I encourage reading!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience. It is very important to have a calm and understanding tone and manor. When you around a crying baby or a child who just threw their food or juice on the ground, patience is key, they are not doing it on purpose, kids especially younger than 8 freak out when they have an accident. There is no need, because accidents happen, babies cry, that's how they communicate.
So, stay calm and always remember to breath!

In the school setting I have worked with kids who have ASD, Down syndrome, Non-verbal, and behavioral issues.
I love a challenge, and most of these children's brains just work a little differently, they want to be heard and spoken to like a regular child.

The most important part about being a nanny...
It was when the first little girl I nannied would sing the intro to bluey and would only fall asleep to Moana music, it was how far I'll go or nothing else. She was non-verbal when I started, and she could only say a few words. She was so precious to me, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
