A little bit about me

Hi hi! My names Breanna, or Bre for short (: I’m 28 years old, went to school for Psychology, love being outdoors, and I’m the second oldest of 5, if that tells you anything lol I’m use to taking lead of the bunch! I began my childcare journey 10 years ago and it’s developed into a passion of mine. It’s super rewarding to be apart of tiny humans development, seeing them develop their own personality, sense of humor, etc. I love all things related to being a Nanny, whether it be making arts and crafts, outdoorsy activities, learning/teaching something new. I’m constantly learning new things to ensure I’m growing as well. Last year, I taught myself and one of my littles some sign language. At 11 months he could sign 10 things! I enjoy the process of creating and implementing daily schedules/activities, but I love to be engaged in the activities as well. I don’t feel as though I’m working because I genuinely enjoy everything I do, and that’s the best part about my job!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been working with children for the past 10 years. My high school had an early education program, which is where I began my childcare journey. I had babysat for family friends and it was genuinely something I enjoyed! Following into college, I worked with AmericaReads as a tutor for children part time for my work study, as well as simultaneously working a job at Family Services Association as a group Lead at a daycare. I mainly worked with ages 5-13y, however during school vacations, I filled in at WORD, a daycare for ages 1 month-4years. I was employed with FSA for 3 years before transitioning into Nannying, and I’ve been a Nanny ever since! I have been a Nanny for the last 7 years and have experience with ages 2 months-14 years. I’m more than happy to go into depth about my roles at each position (:

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, playing musical instruments, singing and dancing, reading books, acting, playing outside, nature scavenger hunt, chalk art/activities, learning sign language, playing “school” - teaching and learning new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think creating a safe, loving space for them is super important. Somewhere they can express themselves, make mistakes freely, teach them how to be kind, helpful, strong minded, just overall GOOD human beings with my support and love is really important to me.

I have cared for children with Down syndrome and autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had been invited to my mini besties birthday party and while we were there she had showed everyone her Favorite Person project she had made at school, and it was all about me! I had just become her Nanny just a couple of months prior so to feel the impact I’ve had on her in a short period of time brought tears to my eyes!
