Honestly, I think the most important part of being a nanny is building trust with the kids. It's not just about keeping them safe or following a schedule. It's about creating a space where they feel comfortable being themselves. When kids trust you, they open up, they're more willing to try new things, and they actually listen when you need them to. That connection makes the job so much more rewarding, and it makes a real difference in their lives.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when I was looking after this kid, Alex, who was usually super shy. I brought a bunch of art supplies over one day, and we started painting. At first, he was hesitant, but once he got going, he just opened up. We talked about everything – his favorite toys, his friends, even some things that were bothering him. It was really cool to see him come out of his shell and express himself. It made me feel like I was really making a connection with him.
