After school care for a family, daycare setting in a church, nanny for a little boy with disabilities. Mother of two daughters, taught School Readiness for 11 years helping children get ready for kindergarten. Taught Early Childhood Family Education classes for 21 years working with children and parents as a child/parent and family educator. Have six grandchildren and did daycare for them.

I enjoy engaging with children in many different ways. Reading, sensory activities, creative play, art, music and lots of outdoor fun (weather permitting.)

My experience with special needs children...
I worked with a young boy with a chromosome deletion. Non verbal, could not walk, or feed himself. He had some autistic characteristics as well. With the guidance of occupational and physical therapist I worked with him to be the best he could be.
I also was a PCA for my nonverbal, low cognitive abilities nephew for many years.
My years in early childhood I have encountered children with anxiety, extreme food intolerances and allergies, behavioral issues, and on the autism spectrum.
