Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Last year I used to babysit my nephew every weekend from when he was 6months- 1 year while his mom was at work. I also used to volunteer at my church to take care of the kids. I have a younger little brother who I’d watch while my mom was working at her old job. I help him with homework, take him to school and to his boxing classes whenever my mom needed the help.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing outdoors with kids especially games like tag, soccer, throwing a football, playing catch, making up scavenger hunts or even swimming on a hot day. Indoor activities I like doing are arts and crafts, playing with LEGO’s, reading books, watching TV, playing with toys, building blocks, and coloring books or even new games the kids may have. I’m always up for new activities to add to my lists.
My experience with special needs children...
My little cousin has autism and what he loves most is to draw and anything art related so whenever I’m at his house I make sure to bring crayons, markers, colored pencils, canvases and water color just for him. At times he can get a little anxious when a lot of people are over because of the noise so we go outside and take a few deep breaths to calm him down a bit and then go back inside to his room or find a new activity.
