Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have my degree in elementary education. During that time, I worked for 3 years in different settings as a teachers aid or co teacher. After that, I worked as a teacher in a school and residential home for special needs. I was taught how to follow behavior guidelines, Applied Behavioral Analysis, de-escalation techniques, and how to be an advocate for children who cannot speak for themselves. I was promoted to case manager for a little girl with autism. I am very proud to say that though she came to me not knowing how to speak and only knowing the sign for 'more', by the time I left her she was speaking in full sentences. I went on to be an in home behavioral therapist working with families with children who have special needs. I have also been a teacher at a preschool as well as a 5th and 6th grade teacher of science, writing, and social emotional growth. I also am one of 8 children and have enjoyed watching my younger siblings grow and aid them along their journeys.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am really down for anything! As a person, I try to be in touch with my own inner child. I love exploring the world with kids. I always come with some ideas of activities, but also love to follow their curiosity and their own interests.

I have cared for children that have fetal alcohol syndrome, autism, Down Syndrome, OCD, ADHD, and physical differences.
