Building trust with both the children and their families, encouraging learning through everyday experiences, and helping children grow emotionally, socially, and academically are what make the role so meaningful. I have experience working with children with special needs in a preschool setting. I understand the importance of being patient, supportive, and flexible with each child’s individual needs. I have helped children with communication, social skills, behavior, daily routines, and classroom activities while creating a safe and welcoming environment for them to learn and grow. I am also continuing my education in the field of education and behavior analysis, which has helped me better understand different learning and behavioral needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was watching a child accomplish something they had been working so hard to learn. After practicing their letters and reading together every day, they proudly recognized and read a few words on their own. The excitement and confidence on their face was priceless. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children and being a part of their growth and development.
