A little bit about me

Hi everyone! My name is Briana Carter, and I am 21 years old from Vero Beach, Florida. I currently work as a full-time teacher in an older 3-year-old preschool classroom, which has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I am finishing my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education this fall, and my long-term goal is to become a BCBA-D (Board Certified Behavior Analyst–Doctoral level) so I can support children with developmental and behavioral needs. I have completed my 45-hour child care training and am CPR and First Aid certified. Outside of school and work, I enjoy shopping, spending time with family and friends, and doing creative classroom activities. I would describe myself as goofy, caring, hardworking, and friendly. I’m excited to continue learning, meet new people, and take the next steps toward my future career in education and behavior analysis.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported. Building trust with both the children and their families, encouraging learning through everyday experiences, and helping children grow emotionally, socially, and academically are what make the role so meaningful. My goal is to be a positive, dependable presence that helps each child thrive

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs in a preschool setting. I understand the importance of being patient, supportive, and flexible with each child’s individual needs. I have helped children with communication, social skills, behavior, daily routines, and classroom activities while creating a safe and welcoming environment for them to learn and grow. I am also continuing my education in the field of education and behavior analysis, which has helped me better understand different learning and behavioral needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was watching a child accomplish something they had been working so hard to learn. After practicing their letters and reading together every day, they proudly recognized and read a few words on their own. The excitement and confidence on their face was priceless. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children and being a part of their growth and development.
