Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve cared for children in both professional and volunteer settings. At the Power of Play program through UCSB, I work with elementary school students during recess to promote teamwork, emotional growth, and problem solving through fun games and activities. I also volunteer at the RiteCare Language Center helping children with reading and language skills. Outside of those roles, I’ve babysat for family and friends and truly enjoy spending time with kids. I love playing games, helping with homework, and creating a fun and safe environment.

I enjoy playing outside, doing arts and crafts, board games, reading books together, but also coming up with creative games or pretend play scenarios. I love encouraging kids to use their imagination and explore their interests, whether that’s through drawing, building, or storytelling. I also enjoy helping with homework, practicing reading, or doing learning activities and games to make learning fun.

The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and loving relationship with both the children and their family. Kids thrive when they feel safe, understood, and cared for, so I believe that it is essential to create a safe and welcoming environment filled with patience, encouragement, and fun. Babysitting or being a nanny is not just about supervising children, but about about helping children grow, learn, and feel valued every single day.
