I currently work as a lead teacher in a pre-kindergarten class, mainly working with 3-5 year olds, but do have experience with toddlers! I mainly focus on child-led activities, allowing the child to learn skills based on their interests and questions. I also use play based learning in my classroom, allowing the kids to learn without even realizing they’re learning! All children have ‘big feelings’, so I focus heavily on teaching children to not only put names to the emotions they’re feeling, but to express them in a healthy way. I love to practice yoga, deep breathing, and meditation with children, as I find it helps increase awareness of their bodies and their emotions. I absolutely adore children and strive to provide them a fun, safe, healthy, and loving environment where they can thrive!
