I recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and received a certification in the Leadership and Public Management program. I have 1 year of babysitting experience with young children. I have assisted with changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and developmentally appropriate activities. I have also had experience alongside behavior analysts and working with children with disabilities. My previous work consisted of working in schools and teaching softball to students aged 4-12 in Australia. I have been traveling for the past couple years while continuing to pursue my passion: growing the game of softball internationally for children. I am an empathetic and patient person and love to assist busy families and create a difference in both you and your child’s life. I am flexible with hours and dates and would love to help out in any way I can. I can also provide light housekeeping and meal preparations as necessary.

Love taking trips with the kids, to the park, aquarium, on walks, the library, and being very active. I think it’s important to get out of the house and immerse them in different activities to enhance both cognitive and physical development as they grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being patient and having open communication with parents. Everyday working with children is different that’s what I love most about my job is navigating the good and bad times with them. Having a good line of communication with the parents is very important to me to ensure they are in the know of any developmental milestones as well as being on the same page in terms of parenting styles. Each family is different so it’s important to understand what they are looking for from me to ensure their children are still being raised to their standards not mine.
