I have worked for a variety of different families, caring for all different ages of children. As a live-nanny, I was responsible for three middle school-aged children, managing their school and extra-curricular activity schedules. I also worked in the Child Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at The University of Iowa Hospital for almost 4 years.
I am very passionate about creating a supportive environment that encourages a holistic approach to health and wellness. I was a coach for Girls on the Run, a non-profit program for 8- to 13-year-old girls that promotes empowerment by teaching life skills through lessons and running. I also was a Director of an overnight summer camp, Camp Wapsie, where I was responsible for organizing, implementing, and directing social and recreational programs for children ages 6-to 16-years old.
