I enjoy doing creative and engaging activities with children such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading stories, music and dancing, sensory play, educational games, and helping with homework when needed. I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel secure and supported. Building a strong relationship with both the children and parents is very important, along with being reliable, patient, and helping children learn and grow each day.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through my time in inclusion classrooms at daycare and nursery school settings. I worked with 3 to 4 year olds in classrooms that included both children with special needs and children without special needs. This experience helped me learn patience, understanding, flexibility, and how to support each child based on their individual needs while creating a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Although I have not worked as a nanny yet, some of my favorite childcare moments have been helping children learn new skills, seeing them gain confidence, and watching them have fun while learning. I love building positive connections with children and being someone they feel safe, comfortable, and happy around. Seeing a child smile, accomplish something new, or enjoy their day is always rewarding to me.
