"Brigid is kind, engaged, and loves children. She also has the knowledge, with her degree, in how to advance my young children’s education. She was able to create an agenda for my 4 year old to work on different subjects weekly, and choose and cultivate different activities throughout that week to reinforce and expand on their learning. She was gentle but firm with structure and disciple which my boys really thrived under. She was able to manage my growing family, to a total of 5 children, and create a lasting relationship with all of them despite their vast differences. Brigid comes highly recommended and we cherish our time and memories with her."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher in a NAYCE certified child care center. As well as a long term nanny for a family of five!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my favorite ways of teaching with young children is through nature! I love being outside with the kids and letting them explore the world around them (safely of course!). I don’t mind children getting messy when doing activities, I want them to be able to explore with their whole body and senses. I have done plenty of learning experiences for children 0-6. Here is my website with a few of them attached https://brigiddoyle.godaddysites.com/about-me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is the connection I make with the children. I want to make every child I work with feel safe, loved, and supported. Teaching children how to love and respect themselves and others is another part of nannying that I find very important to me. Going to school for specifically early childhood education has taught me that the early years of a persons life GREATLY impacts the rest of their life, I do not take this lightly. I am extremely intentional with every interaction I have with young children, I believe that what I say and do will leave an impact, that’s why it is vital for me to have love and respect as the foundation for all my relationships with the kids I work with.
My experience with special needs children...
In the center I worked at for four years, I was lucky enough to encounter several children with special needs. I have my bachelors in early childhood education and was able to learn so much about working with children who have special needs!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nannying moment was from this past fall. This was right after graduating with my bachelors in early childhood education, so I was ready to teach! At this time I was working with the same family I’ve been working for for 7 years but only had the three year old during the day while the older kids were at school. We spent every weekday together, going on adventures and doing things she was interested in. Over time I drastically saw her develop blossom, she was trusting her body more, introducing herself to new friends at the park, and using phrases that I said to her like “in two minutes can I please have a turn with that toy, or my body doesn’t want a hug right now, or I’m feeling _ because _”. I could tell that she was learning from me in ways that are going to help her out so much in not only kindergarten but the rest of her life.
