More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During college, I worked as a kindergarten teacher for a year and a half at different schools. I also have tutoring experience and have been a nanny for several families. Additionally, I provided overnight care and volunteered to care for orphan children in Mexico in 2022.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I thoroughly enjoy engaging in creative play, dramatic play, arts and crafts, sensory activities, outdoor walks, and mini-lessons with children. Additionally, I find great pleasure in reading and discovering the activities that children are interested in, allowing for child-led experiences. These experiences foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to grow and learn.

I have extensive experience working with children with autism, hearing disabilities, Down syndrome, behavior disorders, and ADHD. My approach is characterized by patience and providing extra support to meet their unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was caring for a sweet 2 month old baby and she became very fussy. I tried the diaper, feeding, tummy time, walking around, checking to see if she had gas, EVERYTHING! Nothing worked. I turned on some music and began dancing with her in my arms, twirling around and swinging her side to side carefully. She immediately stopped crying. After about 20 minutes, I turned off the music for a break and stopped dancing. She started to get fussy again so I went back to dancing and she calmed down again! Funny story but it warmed my heart because I was able to calm her down in a safe way and have some fun at the same time! Even if it was tiring.
