A little bit about me

Hi! I am 26 years old and currently live in Minnetonka, MN. I received my Bachelor of Science from Iowa State in Early Childhood Education and Special Education in 2018. I then received my Master’s of Education in 2021. I have an active Tier 3 Minnesota teaching license for both general education and special education. I worked as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher in Eden Prairie Schools from January 2019 - February 2022. I decided to switch into a business position & I am currently employed at a financial firm in Wayzata. I can’t deny that I am really missing being with kiddos! The relationships I made are so important to me. I still stay in touch with some students / parents :). I can’t find something I love more than being with kids, but wanting to take a break from the classroom setting. Being a professional nanny / house manager is the perfect job for me! Your kids are my #1 priority, but also can assist with cleaning, meal prep, organizing, errands, traveling, & more!

-Evaluate students who are referred for educational evaluation to determine eligibility for special education
-Assess early childhood indicators of areas of development (cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive, fine/gross motor, communication, sensory processing)
-Perform standardized and non-standardized testing to students
-Provide individualized special education services to caseload
-Lead and organize meetings (Annual and initial Individualized Education Program (IEP), evaluation share, conferences, classroom team meetings)
-Writing IEPs, special education evaluation reports, progress notes, behavior plans, lesson plans

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love finding activities that gear towards the child’s interest while developing / enhancing social-emotional skills! I LOVE being outside (swimming, parks, nature walks, picnics, beach, biking/scootering, stroller rides, etc.). Field trips are fun too (children’s/science museum, library, zoo, etc.)! One of my other favorite activities is getting messy with crafts! Crafts can help work on so many skills, such as, fine motor and cognitive. I like to have the kids feel they are apart of the activity planning! Sometimes we will create a list of things they would like to do and plan out a schedule. Therefore, they have something to look forward to. I love being apart of the kids daily activities they go to (soccer, gymnastics, swimming, etc.) it is so fun to watch them grow & knowing they feel special having someone there cheering them on!

I am Minnesota licensed in Birth- 21 Special Education and taught as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher January 2019 - February 2022. I have my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood with secondary of Special Education. I have experience with multiple disabilities such as, Developmental Delay, Autism, Down Syndrome, Emotional/Behavioral Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Learning Disability, Hearing Impairment, Speech/Language Impairment.
