A little bit about me

My name is Brittney, I am 35 and have my own part time house-call dog grooming business and am looking to get back into working with children. I have 7 plus years experience in childcare, have also been an on-call nanny for 2 families and am interested in a long-term nanny position to grow with a family, between 25 and 40 hours a week and preferably weekdays. (Open to work on weekends as needed for adult-only outings). After the COVID lockdown I was forced into a different career path due to not having the vaccine. Working with children is my greatest passion in life and is what I am meant to do and I am hoping to find a family who is accepting of my vaccination choice. I am CPR/First Aid certified, up to date on necessary vaccinations and have an amazing immune system. I am rarely ever sick, my two teens and I have never had COVID and we are all in good health and take necessary steps to protect ourselves from getting sick.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I worked with a child who had special needs and was non-verbal. I would read the same book to him daily, multiple times a day in an expressive tone; one day while I was reading to him, he yelled out “FIREFIGHTER”. Needless to say, he brought tears to my eyes, it was such a special moment!
