A little bit about me

My name is Brooke Collinsworth and I love working with children because I believe that the knowledge and faith of the next generation is worth everything. I am currently pursuing an associates degree in early childhood education, which will be completed in the spring of 2024. I will then pursue a bachelors degree in ECE. I have 6 years of volunteer experience with children ages infants to 5 years old. My paid experience with children varies from the ages of newborns to 11 year olds. I was employed at Newspring church for 2 years as a member of their childcare and family ministry team. I recently started nannying for families and I have been working part time at an in-home daycare. I aspire to open my own in-home daycare once I complete my schooling! I love working with kids because teaching them the foundational skills for life is a beautiful thing to be a part of. As a nanny, I strive to support the child and family while I create an environment that makes life easier for everyone.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at Newspring Church with toddlers and infants for 6 years. I then worked there for 2 years for children ranging the ages of newborn to 11 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts, story times, dance parties, and outdoor play! I also love doing a variety of sensory activities with items such as play dough, bubble foam, water and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny, aside from caring for the children, is doing whatever you can to make life for the parents easier. I know that life with children can be busy and chaotic. Little things such as a messy home can add onto the stress of parents and children. I believe it is a nanny’s job to do everything with the best interest of the child and parents in mind, this includes additional housekeeping jobs and creating a sense of teamwork between the nanny and parents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I got to witness a child take their first steps. I had been with this little boy since he was three weeks old and it was truly such an exciting and fulfilling moment.
