Making a real connection with the family that you are employed with. Developing a relationship with the children that is fun, educational, safe, and enjoyable. Communication is key when it comes to the important things. Relaying how everything went for the day, any incidents or misbehavior should be communicated immediately. Being on the same page as to how the children will be disciplined and rewarded is also a big part of keeping a good relationship with the family.
