Hi! My name is Brooklyn, and I’m an 18-year-old college student looking for babysitting jobs here and there.

I’m the oldest of six siblings (ages range from an infant to 12), so taking care of kids has basically been part of my everyday life for as long as I can remember. I’m comfortable with everything from diaper changes and meal prep to cleaning up, dishes, laundry, and just keeping things calm and organized.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve volunteered in Sunday school for about six years, working with kids from the nursery up through 8th grade. I’ve babysat for three families and still help out for two of them regularly, so I’m very comfortable caring for kids of all ages. One of the families I worked with was preparing for a new baby, and I helped them get their home ready for his arrival—it was such a special experience!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really love spending time outdoors, whether that’s running around, drawing with chalk, or having a good old-fashioned Nerf war. I’m also a big fan of imaginative play—everything from doll games and pretend makeup to braiding hair and creating fun little stories together. I enjoy mixing creativity with learning, too, so I like to include simple educational games, whether it’s practicing counting, spelling, or even multiplication in a fun, hands-on way!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What’s most important to me about being a nanny is creating a safe, caring, and fun environment where kids feel loved and understood. I really value building trust and connection—whether that’s through imaginative play, helping with learning games, or comforting a baby as they fall asleep. To me, being a nanny isn’t just about supervision, it’s about being someone who supports each child’s growth with patience, consistency, and kindness. Every child is unique, and I believe the best care comes from truly paying attention and making them feel seen, heard, and valued.

My experience with special needs children...

I occasionally babysit for a wonderful one-year-old with special needs, which has helped me learn to be extra patient, attentive, and understanding in my care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard to pick a favorite nanny moment, but it’s probably between having epic Nerf wars, watching a sweet 5-month-old drift off to sleep, or playing hide and seek with my own siblings—those little moments always make babysitting so special to me.
