I grew up in church and I was SUPER involved with the children's ministry. Every Sunday I woke up for the first service just so I could get to the church to care for the kids in the children's ministry all day. I volunteered during special events, and used to babysit almost every single weekend before I moved to Georgia.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking them to parks if the parents are okay with me driving them, and making crafts. Coloring and painting are something that I enjoy doing with the kids I watch, and generally just get some time away from electronics and devices. Playing outside is important for younger kids for many reasons.

Understanding the kids and their feelings. Kids just want to be heard, and especially around new people that they haven't been around a lot it can be super nerve-racking for them causing them to act out.
