A little bit about me

Consider me the cool aunt who can make magic happen with whatever supplies we are able to scavenge; whether that’s making dresses out of Kleenex or propagating plants together! As an Experiential Activations Senior Producer in my full time job, I am professional, prepared and patient. I have also had experience with special needs children and adults and was the sole caregiver to my father who was in an unresponsive wakefulness state and completely paralyzed. I have two BA’s from Pepperdine University in Journalism and Humanities and graduated cum laude. More recently I completed 3 semesters of a Masters program in psychology. I love to clean and cook. I am a skilled seamstress and tutor. I was also a lifeguard and swimming instructor throughout college and have continued to swim my entire adult life. The demands of my full-time job are minimal, but the ideal nanny position will allow me to do both jobs without compromising quality to either duty.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked extensively with children from the time I was 13 until the age of 21 as a mother’s helper, babysitter, swim instructor and eventually live-in nanny for one of the wealthiest families in the United States. I transitioned to adult caregiving and am now returning to caring for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, swimming, homework, playing just about any game that doesn’t involve balls (I’m terrible at ballgames 😂), sewing, reading.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with autistic children as a part-time caregiver. I’ve also taught swimming to autistic and Tourette challenged children. I served as a caregiver to my sister our entire lives as she had a brain tumor that rendered her partially paralyzed. and affected her behaviorally. I have worked with trachea patients as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I saved the two children I was watching from drowning in the ocean. To this day, I do not know how I found the strength to swim with one under each arm and kick us to safety but I will never forget that moment and the feeling of knowing I protected the children in my care.
