I’ve been caring for children since I was 13, starting with babysitting for families in my community. I also grew up helping with my three younger siblings. Professionally, I’ve worked at Newsong Academy for the past year and a half — 6 months in the infant classroom and the rest as the lead toddler teacher. Before that, I worked at My Gym, a mommy-and-me children’s fitness program, where I led fun and active classes for little ones. These experiences have given me hands-on knowledge of caring for children of all ages, from infants to school-aged kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping kids engaged through creative and active play. Some of my favorite activities are arts and crafts, story time, and fun learning games. I also enjoy spending time outdoors — going on walks, playing at the park, or exploring nature. With toddlers and preschoolers, I like incorporating early learning into play (colors, numbers, letters), and with infants, I focus on sensory activities and lots of interactive play. My goal is always to make activities fun, safe, and developmentally supportive.
