I think the most important part of being a nanny is knowing how to be patient and understanding and knowing no 2 kids are the same. They all have individual needs, and I do whatever is in my power to make sure their needs are met.

I worked in a day care with a little boy who had Cerebral Palsy for about 2 years and I specifically worked with children with ADHD when student teaching.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my kiddos from a daycare I worked at helped me clean up at the end of the day. They had water day outside earlier and I asked what the best part of her day was, expecting to hear about water day. She said, "Um, this is my favorite part." I said, "Really? Why is this your favorite part?" She looked at me as if I asked a silly question and says, "Because I'm spending time with you." MY HEART!!!!
