Hi I’m Cait, I’m from Lewiston, Idaho small town roots, big heart, and the kind of place that teaches you how to care for people early in life. For three years I worked at a daycare, and honestly, being around kids never felt like “just a job.” It was the hugs, the little milestones, the chaos, the laughter the feeling that you actually mattered in someone’s day.

I ended up making a career change, and while it’s taken me in a new direction, I’ve realized how much I truly miss being a teacher. There’s something special about helping kids learn, grow, and feel safe, and that’s a part of me I don’t think ever goes away.

Now I’m dreaming a little bigger trading Idaho seasons for sunshine and hoping to make a move to Destin, Florida. A fresh start, ocean air, and hopefully finding my way back to being around kids again, because that’s where my heart feels most at home

One of my favorite parts of working with children is creating activities that are both fun and developmentally meaningful. I really enjoy arts and crafts especially hands-on projects where kids can be creative and express themselves, even if it gets a little messy. I also love reading stories and using different voices to keep them engaged and excited about books.

I try to incorporate learning through play, so I often work on letters, numbers, and early skills during games, songs, and movement activities like dance parties or outdoor play. Sensory activities such as playdough, water tables, and sensory bins are another favorite because they help with fine motor skills and exploration.

Most importantly, I focus on social-emotional development encouraging kindness, sharing, and helping children understand their feelings. I really enjoy watching kids build confidence and feel proud of what they accomplish.
