A little bit about me

I am 20 years old, almost 21. I started working in a daycare about 1.5 years ago. I am the daycares only cook, I make and serve a fully nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack in the afternoon as well as clean up after it. I am almost the main assistant teacher in the toddler room and help out with 3-5 year olds in the afternoons. I have been in the baby room briefly over the last year. Over the past 2 years I have been the main baby sitter for one little boy from the age 4MO until he turned 2, and now babysit a 6MO on occasion. I started babysitting 2 little girls who were 2YO and 4YO when I was just 12. I have 9 siblings being the 3rd oldest and first born girl so I am great around teenagers and pre-teens as well.

I love doing music time with children. Super simple songs and the Laurie Berkner Band are my absolute favorite! I love sensory bins with sand or noodles etc.. Painting and learning how to spell names. Playing in the snow and taking the kids for walks on cooler summer days.

Creating a bond with a child is so important. Having trust makes learning and the tougher moments a little easier. Making a child feel safe with me is the most important thing to me.

Seeing the little boy i nannied walk for the first time, when I stopped nannying him, his mommy would send me videos of him saying my name when she would show him pictures of us I took when he was itty bitty.
