More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to care for my brothers growing up (I was called “little mama”), I babysit my nephews all the time, I used to babysit my friend’s autistic niece, I used to babysit my neighbor’s kids before she moved, I used to babysit my other friend’s little sisters (I got paid for), I cared for a 9yr old girl who cerebral palsy for 2 days (she was unable to talk or move but had so much spirit! My body couldn’t lift her so I couldn’t keep working for her family unfortunately), I was the secretary at a juvenile probation office working with troubled children anywhere from ages 5-16, and I’ve been working as a Seasonal Assistant Manager on the Bunny/Santa set at the mall working with children and their families taking photos for the past year (much harder than it sounds to get children to take photos!).
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Any arts and crafts are the best! Swimming, bubble parties, puzzles, games of any kinds, spelling, some math (unsure of this new age math but I can try!), music, and letting them teach me things!

Ensuring the children are protected, healthy, and hopefully happy.
My experience with special needs children...
My daughter is autistic and has AHDH so she teaches me a lot about that world, I’ve also come across a few other children with autism (I have 3 different neighbors with autistic children, also had 2 different friends with autistic children). I cared for a 9yr old girl for 2 days who had cerebral palsy, my body couldn’t handle lifting her but if it could I would’ve continued to care for her! I’ve also encounter quite a few children with different disabilities at my mall job, I’m not sure of all their disabilities but I know a few had Down syndrome, I’ve had a few with cancer, one had ALS, another had Tourette’s, and a regular has cerebral palsy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My job as an assistant manager at the mall has been my favorite one, only because I get to work with so many different kids and families. I love that I get to capture memories, whether the kids are smiling, crying, making an angry face, or just staring into the camera like they are gonna take your soul; it fills my heart to be able to capture those moments and save them for their parents/grandparents. I always try to make the family happy with the best photos I can possibly get and the best deal I give them for the prices I’m stuck selling them at.
