More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For the last two years I have been taking care of babies and toddlers between 6 months and 3 years old, until my babies start going to daycare. I love my job and I do it with a lot of love, proof of this is that I have an excellent relationship with the families I have worked with.
I also volunteered teaching English and Spanish to 15 children between 6 and 10 years old in Brazil, and I worked with children in Colombia mipais of origin, with children between 6 and 14 years old, supporting sports activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to get the kids out of the house! go to the park, for a walk, play soccer or any sport.
Also we can also make crafts at home, bake a cake or just create stories with their toys.

My mother language is Spanish although I can also speak a little bit of Portuguese, I´d love to teach them a little bit of these languages.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As nannies we have in our hands not only the life of the little ones, but we also influence their development as little people. I think we should set the best possible example and give them the values we hope they will have when they grow up.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My little cousin is now9 YO but I have been taking care of her since she was 5 YO. we created our own greeting at that time and we still do it every time we see each other.
It´s very nice to see how much she has grown up but she is still a little girl. I also took care of a beautiful baby girl (8 months old) and was able to see her first clapping hands, steps and attempts at words. It is very special to see how fast babies grow up.

Hi! My name is Niki, and I’m a 20-year-old junior at San Diego State University. I have experience working with children through volunteering at the Child Development Center at MiraCosta College and at a kindergarten in Poway.
I’m very energetic, positive, and enthusiastic, and I genuinely enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for kids. I’m patient, dependable, and love engaging with children through play, learning activities, and daily routines. I also have my own car, which allows me to be flexible and reliable.
I’d love the opportunity to support your family and be someone you can trust with your children!
Hanne S. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in San Diego, CA: Hanne S.

Hi! My name is Hanne Somers, and I’m a 21-year-old pre-med student at Point Loma Nazarene University. I have been babysitting for about 7 years and also worked as a camp counselor for several years, so I have lots of experience caring for kids of different ages.
I love spending time with kids and am looking for a summer nanny position. I’m available for most of May through August, although there are a couple of weeks I will be out of town. I love being outdoors, doing crafts, playing games, and finding fun ways to keep kids active and engaged.
My CPR and First Aid certifications expired last year, but I would be more than happy to renew them. I’m responsible, caring, and would love the chance to help out a family this summer!
I’m comfortable helping with things like meals, driving kids to activities, light cleanup, and keeping them busy with fun activities during the day.
I would love to connect and see if I might be a good fit for your family.

In process of changing careers, but would love to work with school age children. Have a valid California Multi-Subject teaching credential, but have not used it since I did my student teaching. I've been working at University Libraries since I was in college. After high school, I worked as a camp counselor and for a AM/PM program, but it has been a long time since I worked with populations younger than college age. Love animals too.
