Hello Families! My name is Campbell and I’m a 19-year-old sophomore at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, where I’m majoring in Psychology. I’ve always had a passion for working with children and started babysitting when I was about 10 years old. I love creating fun, safe, and nurturing environments where kids can thrive. I have my own car and am happy to provide transportation to and from activities. I also enjoy helping with household tasks such as cleaning, folding laundry, doing dishes, taking out the trash, and cooking. In addition to childcare, I offer pet care and have years of experience with both dogs and cats, including walking, feeding, and general care. I play the cello and can assist with string instrument practice as well.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the years, I’ve gained a wide range of childcare experience. I’ve worked in a church nursery caring for multiple infants, served as a Vacation Bible School counselor for four years with groups of 10–15 children, and babysat kids ranging in age from 2 weeks to 12 years old. I’m comfortable caring for up to three children at a time. I’ve also helped my mom with her cleaning business since I was 10, so I’m very familiar with keeping things organized and tidy. While I was First Aid certified at 13, I always take the time to refresh my knowledge of emergency procedures before each job. There’s nothing I enjoy more than spending time with children, watching them grow, and helping them explore the world around them, it's truly an honor to be part of that journey.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Coloring, arts and crafts, board and card games, singing, dancing, baking, I used to play softball so that and baseball have a special place in my heart, reading, homework, developmental games.

Having a connection, the child should feel safe and trusting of me while also having fun and being productive when need be.

My experience with special needs children...

My older brother has autism and is pretty high functioning so I grew up conscious of that, in elementary school I volunteered to work with the younger kids in the special ed department, my senior year of high school I took a class called music insights which is a music class for high school students with a variety of needs, so I haven’t babysat for a child with special needs but am more familiar than most.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When watching a young boy he was having a very hard time after his mom left and couldn’t stop crying but he let me hold, rock, and sing to him until he felt better and him hugging me and knowing he felt comfortable and safe with me was the best feeling in the world. And just in general anytime I get to rock a baby/child to sleep, theres nothing better.
