Creating a bond with the children you babysit/nanny for. You want them to feel comfortable and safe with you. You want them to enjoy the time they spend with you. I also like to try and keep things clean around the home. So if there are chores that need done I’m happy to do them. Or if I simply pick up after the children as we go from one activity to the next.

Coming back to see small children who have no business recognizing me, doing just that. I nannied for a three month old, I saw him a year later and when I held him he looked at me then smiled and laid his chest on mine.
