The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is not only keeping the child safe at all times, but also building trust and creating a comfortable and positive environment. I believe it’s important for children to feel supported, understood, and engaged, while also maintaining structure and responsibility. Being reliable, patient, and attentive has helped me build that trust with both the child and the parents in the past which I would hope to have more opportunities for!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with children with ADHD and autism through my 9 year old cousin. I always make sure to include him in games and activities and help him when he needs extra support. This has helped me learn how to be patient, understanding, and adapt to different needs while still making sure he feels included and comfortable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Definitely taking my nephew to ride horses for the first time, between the giggles and the pictures everything was just so perfect and it was such a cute moment for the family. Even though I had to take him to the zoo a few times to prepare him for this!!
