The most important part about being a nanny is always making sure the child is safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children that are hard of hearing where I got to learn a little ASL so I was able to communicate to understand what it was the child was wanting. I have worked with children who are diabetic and had to make sure that they were keeping their levels right where they needed to be. I have also worked with autistic children where I had to help them understand and help them calm down from time to time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment would have to be when I was working with a 2 year old girl. She had a water set that she loved to play with. When I would take her outside to play she would chase me around with the water because she thought it was funny when I was all wet.
