More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a nanny for 2 different families over the course of 4 years. I have had experience with infants and toddlers and I love watching kids grow. I also worked at a daycare for the past 3 years I only stopped because of the coronavirus. More recently I was the nanny for a 4 month old and a 2 year old respectively as well as another infant and a 1 year old. I had a blast and have learned so much from these experiences. I just left a job as an infant teacher at a daycare where I learned to manage and care for a classroom full of infants at once.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to go outside and run with the kids. I also love to play whatever make believe game they want to play. I love to see how their imagination works and how excited they get when I play with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to remember is that it is all about making sure the baby is happy and healthy. As caregivers we are given this huge responsibility and it is not to be taken lightly. Even though playing with kids is fun it is also their job. The babies job is to grow, learn, and play. I think that our most important job it to make sure that they are growing up healthy and happy. Even when baby is small and does not interact much it is crucial to give them as much face to face attention as possible for stimulation and to aid development.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any experience taking care of children with special needs. I am not opposed to learning but prior to this I have no experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When one of the kids I was nannying for was potty training she had never used the toilet by her self before. But this day I asked her if she wanted to try and she said she would. And to my surprise she did it perfect. I just remember how proud of her I was. Because we had been working on it for so long.
